Badrinath Dham

The Badrinath Temple is considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Hinduism, and is considered to be a highly sacred place by devotees. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped as the preserver of the universe in Hinduism.

The official time of Badrinath Dham Ji kapat opening have always been declared on Basant Panchmi and this year the kapat is all set to open from 12th May, 2024 as the idols return to Badrinath Dham from Pandukehswar(2 km from Govindghat) which is their winter abode. The opening ceremony will begin at 6am on 12th May where Kuber ji and the chal moorti of Badrinath Ji in the form of Uddhav ji (also known as the Utsav moorti or ceremony idol) enter into the Garbh-Grah of main temple. At the same time Lakshmi Ji is comes out of main temple and placed at the adjoining Lakshmi temple. And for next 6 months Badrinath Ji Kapat(doors) remains open for worship as Nar pooja.

Hemkund Sahib​

One of the most revered Sikh shrines, Hemkunt Sahib (also known as Hemkund Sahib) draws thousands of pilgrims every year. It is recorded in the holy Granth Sahib that the tenth guru of Sikhs, Guru Govind Singh, meditated by the serene banks of Hemkund lake in one of his earlier births.

Shri Hemkund Sahib is a revered Sikh pilgrimage site of a frozen holy ice lake surrounded by seven peaks called Shapath Shring, as mentioned in the Vichitra Natika by Shri Guru Govind Singh Ji, opens its doors for public darshan from 25th May, 2024. Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara is located on the banks of the pristine Hemkund Lake. Hemkund Sahib is at an altitude of 15,000 feet and is also known as Lokpal as according to traditional beliefs Lakshman Ji also perfomed tapasya beside the lake in his previous birth in which spot nearby you will find Lakshman temple.
